When written well satire is a fantastic tool for providing an argument and opening eyes but this piece does not flow smoothly at all. Virtually anyone who actually reads the blogs on Critically Pissed is already aware of such obvious hypocrisies. It just sounds like the kid in a philosophy class who blurts out satirical comments all the time trying to sound funny. The rest of the class hears that comment and think to themselves, "Yes we are all aware of this, please just be quiet."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832236349540926420.post-83785108004343737582012-02-16T09:39:02.450-06:002012-02-16T09:39:02.450-06:00I agree with anon 04:15. Obviously for the sake of sarcasm parts of it were written in a way that would exaggerate it a bit, but the arguments themselves are, in fact, those of many Christian Americans.

It's astounding how ridden with fallacy these arguments are, and the fact that many people have actually used and believed them and still do is even moreso.

I'd say that the worst thing of all what Jango wrote in his last comment regarding how people are against civil rights with religion (or any ill-conceived moral code) as a basis for validation.

It's amazing how so many people are incapable of learning from history, isn't it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832236349540926420.post-46313812836368294212012-02-14T19:24:31.894-06:002012-02-14T19:24:31.894-06:00Stick man argument? That is the underlying basis of (all christian supremacy) gay oppression and the church is at the heart of it which radiates all the hate. I feel I covered every "justification" people use to validate their prejudice as well as reasons why it's fundamentally wrong to be so...
